Outdoor pools need to maintain a 50 to 80 ppm stabilzer level (CYA). Indoor pools do not require stabilzer. Stabilizer or Cyanuric Acid Slows down the suns ability to destroy the chlorine and turn it back to salt. By having the proper stabilizer the chlorine you produce will last much longer in your water.
